All artificial plants, or commonly known as silk plants will last for many years, but will need occasional care to keep them looking their absolute best.
Avoid placing your silk plants in direct sunlight.
Most silk plants are not actually made of silk, but of synthetic fabrics
and direct sunlight will cause them to fade overtime.
Avoid placing your silk plants in kitchen or cooking area's.
If you do place your silk plants in this environment keep as far away from your stove as possible. Not only can the heat be damaging, but silk plants will collect airborne grease and will have to be replaced every year or two.
Dust is probably the biggest foe from keeping your silk plants looking great.
There are many ways to clean dust thats collecting on your plants and preventing them from looking their best.
If its a light coating of dust, a feather duster maybe all that is needed.
Other possible methods to dust your plants are using a hair dryer set on cool.
For a deeper cleaning you may want to use a soft damp cloth or a soft damp brush to clean the leaves. A spray bottle may come in handy here.
Avoid getting the plants extremely wet.
For extreme cleaning, or for plants that have collected alot of dust,
using a silk plant cleaner may be best.
